Embroid Ideas are an expanding organisation whom manufacture and sell promotional items, merchandise & corporate uniforms. This company required a unified telephone system in order to communicate effectively and efficiently and reduce their increasing telephone costs as the business grew.

Location:
Embroid Ideas are located in Seaford Victoria (Head Office) and provide quality embroidery, business cards, screen-printing promotional products, banners, stickers and corporate uniforms across Australia to an endless amount of businesses.

Case:
Hans and Trish Bruitzman (owners) of Embroid Ideas have an interesting story to tell for anyone who is considering integrating VoIP into their business. As their business has grown with their four full time staff and casuals, like most growing organisations they needed to assess their future telephone needs and tried many telephone concepts and packages offered to them to no avail. Some two years earlier Hans installed a residential grade (not business) voice box and was not completely satisfied with the quality, however Hans does now realise it was not installed and setup correctly by VoIP professionals such as Harrisontech. Harrisontech explained and demonstrated to Hans and Trish how they could give them a business VoIP solution creating huge savings by setting up a correct infrastructure using a unified telephone system for them.

Embroid Ideas had one Telstra PSTN line as a main number and one Telstra PSTN line as a fax, including Eftpos. Calls were being received in a rotary manner using conventional phones and cordless DECT telephones and could not transfer or hold calls. Hans and Trish required features such as call hold, call transfer, voice mail and music on hold, plus give them more of a national presence with low cost calls for their customers, hence using a 1300 number as well. The telephone system also needed the ability to easily integrate remote extensions of the business allowing for future growth and more locations.

Other Telco’s were offering solutions, some competitive, but it was the features that could be achieved using VoIP. Harrisontech re-introduced Engin as the key service provider, asked the owners to transfer their lines back to Telstra from AAPT, and advised Hans and Trish that if it was set up correctly they would be 100% satisfied with a money back guarantee.

Solution:
Harrisontech who are a key Engin integrator across Australia installed a smart quality business grade IP PBX which can handle the existing incoming Telstra PSTN lines and deployed handsets on all desks and workstations. Installed were four quality business grade IP handsets and used existing DECT equipment by interfacing their cordless handsets into the IP PBX system as extensions, giving even more flexibility without increasing their costs.

Harrisontech advised Hans and Trish to order an Engin Business 50 Plan (comes with 450 free local and national calls, .18cents to mobiles per minute with per second billing) and integrated the plan into the IP PBX which allowed multiple incoming and outgoing calls over the same line at any one time. A 1300 number from Harrisontech was then ordered from the Harrisontech 1300 number bank and then terminated the new 1300 number onto the Engin VoIP number which in effect is the same as installing multiple lines. In Embroid Ideas case going VoIP with Engin and using the equipment recommended by Harrisontech gave them an additional eight lines (with expandable option to 16) for the one Engin account (that's impressive).

Operation:
The operation of Embroid Ideas has now complete flexibility and allows multiple incoming and outgoing calls over the same Engin VoIP line at once. In addition to this they can now professionally put calls on-hold with music and messages, transfer calls to and from, use voice mail and email the voice messages and of course they now have massive savings on their monthly telephone call charges in excess of 58% every month.
