Ray White Reedy Creek are a progressive and rapidly expanding real estate who list and sell properties, plus are auctioneers and manage rental property in and around the Gold Coast; predominantly around Reedy Creek and surrounding suburbs. This company needed to upgrade their depleted PABX telephone system into a smart telephone system in order to communicate efficiently and at the same time assess if they could reduce their telephone costs which were increasing as the business grew.

Case:
Tony and Trish (owners) of Ray White Reedy Creek have a fantastic story to share for anyone who is considering installing VoIP into their business. Due to their hard work and dedication their real estate business is growing rapidly, hence a need to implement more telephones for increases in staff numbers for sales consultants. As with most growing organisations they needed to assess their telephone systems and future needs. Trish, a focused business woman, looked at many options which included VoIP and VSP's such as Engin. With careful guidance from Alan Cunningham of Black Jellybean, who are Ray White Reedy Creek's quality data, cabling and network administrators, Tony and Trish decided to assess further what VoIP could offer through Harrisontech, who are key business VoIP integrators.
After a detailed assessment and appraisal from Harrisontech with Tony, Trish and Alan - Harrisontech demonstrated to Ray White Reedy Creek a smart and efficient solution that would provide them more lines, natural growth, efficiencies and lower their telephone call costs. Harrisontech invited the State Accounts Manager for Engin, Adam Broadbent, to discuss Engin business plans further as it was ascertained Engin offered the correct infrastructure and plan more suitable to the business and as always, giving impeccable voice quality and service.
Ray White Reedy Creek had one Telstra PSTN line as a published main number, and three other Telstra PSTN lines - one for fax and the others to receive calls in a rotary manner using an old PABX system. Harrisontech recommended maintaining a Telstra infrastructure for inbound, overflow and failover.
Tony and Trish required features such as call queuing, call hold, call transfer, voice mail, music and messages on hold, handset call monitoring to assess sales consultants actual calls and cost, more handsets, more phone lines and lower the cost of calls being made. The telephone system also needed the ability to move premises as they "outgrew" their existing location.
Other Telcos were offering a range of solutions which included ISDN, PSTN and VoIP. Trish weighed up all proposals from all service providers and integrators, found the proposal and professionalism from Harrisontech, including Engin, to be the most integral and informative, although not the cheapest. Trish realised quality service and quality equipment was important to their business. A comment Trish made when she decided to move to VoIP, "all of a sudden computer people and traditional phone system integrators became VoIP experts" (realising afer her research that they were not). She was even advised in many cases not to go VoIP as there were too many issues using VoIP (simply not true). Harrisontech offered a full refund if they were not 100% satisfied afer installation as they know how to integrate VoIP and are VoIP specialists.
Solution:
Harrisontech, a quality integrator across Australia, installed a smart quality business grade IP PBX which integrated the existing incoming Telstra PSTN lines and deployed nine new IP handsets on all existing desks and new workstations for sales consultants and managers wth the ability to grow to 30 easily and expandable to 62 handsets.
Engin assisted with supplying a BIZ 50 Engin plan which is a 50 in-dial number range that includes five separate accounts. This plan gives all sales consultants the ability to publish their own direct in-dial number to bypass reception for customer convenience. Tony and Trish can now assess sales staff calls as separate accounts that are integrated into the IP PBX for outgoing calls all via Engin VoIP. The IP PBX can handle as many calls as the dedicated broadband will allow before bandwidth becomes an issue. However, effectively we have been able to provide Tony and Trish an additional 8-12 lines into their business for a small cost.
Operation:
Ray White Reedy Creek now has complete flexibility with a smart IP PBX integration which allows multiple incoming and outgoing calls over the same Engin VoIP line at once. Bandwidth speed will restrict the amount of available lines between eight and twelve as ADSL2 is not available in the area as yet. Smart call queuing options have been integrated and messages on hold. Features such as on-hold music extension message service with email, call transfer two way, call pickup, group paging, plus much more are in service, time of day routing, plus the savings achieved on the monthly call charges are in excess of 59% every month.
