Configuring Eudora 5.1

STEP 1
 

1a: Open up Eudora 5.1

1b: Go to Tools

1c: Then click on Options

   
STEP 2 and 3
 

2: From the Options dialog box:

2a: in the Real Name text box, enter your full name.

2b: In the Return address text box, enter your return
e-mail address (e.g., UserID@forexample-domain.com )

2c: In the Mail Server text box, your Incoming mail server (POP3) address (eg mail.forexample-domain.com)

2d: In the SMTP Server text box, enter outgoing mail server (SMTP) address.
Note: This outgoing address must be from your ISP (Internet Service Provider) as you will send all mail via your internet account that is configured to your ISP. Some ISP examples as follows:
Dodo (smtp.dodo.com.au)
Bigpond (mail.bigpond.com)

3: Click OK and you are finished.

   
 

Note: After configuring Eudora for your POP account, it is recommended that you disable the option to store copies of messages on the server. An e-mail overflow situation occurs if these copies occupy too much space.
