Configuring Microsoft Outlook 2000 SR-1 Corporate/Workgroup Edition
The following setup steps were created using Microsoft Outlook 2000 SR-1 Corporate/Workgroup Edition.
To learn what version of Outlook you have, go to the Help menu, click About Microsoft Outlook.
If you have another version of Outlook 2000 (e.g., Internet Mail Only), you may need to go to Configuring Microsoft Outlook Express. If you have Outlook 97, 98, or 98 Internet Edition the setting formats are similar.

1a: Open up Microsoft Outlook 2000
1b: Go to Tools
1c: Then click on Services |

2: At Services click on the Add tag |
| |

3: From the Add Service to Profile dialog box:
3a: Click to select Internet E-mail.
3b: Click OK |

4: From the Generic name Properties dialog box:
4a: In the Mail Account text box, enter a name for the account (e.g., any generic name you prefer),
4b: In the Name text box, enter your full name
4c: In the Organisation text box, enter the name of your organisation
4d: In the E-mail address text box, enter your complete e-mail address (e.g: name@yourdomainname.com )
4e: In the Reply address text box enter your e-mail address again. (e.g: name@yourdomainname.com ) |

5: Click on Servers tab:
6a: Enter your Incoming mail server (POP3) address (eg mail.yourdomainname.com)
6b.1: Enter outgoing mail server (SMTP) address.
Note: This outgoing address must be from your ISP (Internet Service Provider) as you will send all mail via your internet account that is configured to your ISP. Some ISP examples as follows:
Dodo (smtp.dodo.com.au)
Bigpond (mail.bigpond.com)
6b.2: *Click here to refer to a quick reference guide of ISP outgoing SMTP settings.
6c: Enter your User ID
Note: On Harrisontech servers this User ID must be the complete email address in question.
6d: Enter your Password
Note: This password must be configured to the mail server also, if you require help here please contact support on 0500511166.
If you are using your ISP SMTP server for outgoing mail, and your ISP requires authentication, click to select My server requires authentication. If you do not know if you are required to be authenticated for outgoing mail, contact your ISP. |

7: Click on Advanced tab |

8: Under Delivery, Click here to - Leave a copy of messages on server, and then Click OK.
Note: By disabling the Leave a copy of messages on server option, your e-mail client will automatically download your Inbox e-mail messages to your local computer. We recommend you leave this option disabled to prevent old e-mail messages from taking up your hosting account's limited disk space, thereby reducing the chance that your account will experience an overage. |
